TIPS FOR CLEANING LEATHER

Before we jump straight into the tricks for cleaning leather, let's take a look at some tips of great importance:

Regular cleaning is the best idea to keep the piece in perfect condition.
Before using any of these tricks, or before cleaning, thoroughly remove dust from the surface with a microfiber cloth or a damp cloth with a few drops of liquid soap.
Also remember to never rinse the leather as direct contact with water will spoil the piece.

Vaseline
This trick is perfect for cleaning white or light-colored leather and making it shine. To do this, rub Vaseline evenly over the surface and let it dry for 30 minutes. Then rub gently with a dry cloth until the natural shine of the material is achieved.

USE SKIMMED MILK
Another peculiar trick for polishing leather requires skimmed milk. For this home use to be effective, dampen a little of the product in a fine cloth and wipe it over the surface with a smooth motion. Then rub again with an equally soft cloth until the material looks perfect.

VINEGAR AND LINSEEED OIL
Vinegar is an excellent ally for cleaning the house. In this case we use this liquid in a mixture of equal parts with linseed oil. Here too you need to dampen the soft cloth and rub the surface once.

In this case, remember that white vinegar is better for cleaning leather, while apple cider vinegar is perfect for brightening dark leather.

NEUTRAL SOAP

Degreases and cleans with respect for the finish of the leather.

ALCOHOL
For very stubborn stains, such as those from a pen or marker, you can dampen the area with a damp cloth and then apply a cloth with a little alcohol to get good results.

CASTOR OIL AND POLISH
This trick to rejuvenate leather requires the use of castor oil. Apply a damp cloth with a few drops to aged or cracked areas. Then polish all the damaged part.

It is recommended to use this trick a few times a year, especially on leather that is already a few years old. This way it always looks like new.

USE MOISTURIZER FOR THE BODY
Let's apply another interesting trick. If you want the leather not to crack over time, moisten it with body lotion. By doing this once every three months, you will have the material in perfect condition. Our lubricating protective cream is ideal for keeping the skin as it did on the first day.

DISTILLED WATER AND LIQUID SOAP
It's time for a cleaning trick for leather and fur. In this case, we add a liter of distilled water to a bucket along with a short squirt of liquid hand or body soap. Make sure everything mixes well. Then wet a soft cloth and wipe the entire area clean. Then rinse again, this time with another cloth using only distilled water, and do this immediately, before it dries. That is, once you pass the distilled water with soap, go back and make a move with just the distilled water.

EGG WHITE
It may seem strange, but egg whites are excellent for keeping leather furniture and sofas in perfect condition. In this case, you need to beat the aforementioned egg white until stiff, then moisten a cloth with it and rub it over the entire surface to be cleaned.

LEMON JUICE AND TARTARIC ACID
Lemon juice mixed with tartaric acid, available at the grocery store, is very effective for cleaning leather. Once we have the resulting product, we will see that a paste is formed that we apply with the help of a cloth and leave for a few hours. It is then removed using a clean and damp cloth.

WHITE VINEGAR WITH WATER
Especially for salt stains, for example, we can make a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. This is then applied until the clean surface is visible.

DRY CLOTH
Sometimes the solution for certain stains is much simpler. For example, if you want to clean leather with grease stains, all you need to do is use a dry cloth. Apply it to the area without water or moisture and remove all dirt.
